Nepal In Olympics

Nepal has been participating in the Olympics since 1964. Team Nepal will be returning back home from the London Olympics 2012 with no medals in their name. This year Nepal was represented by five athletes, who competed in shooting, swimming and athletics.  Sneh Rana who competed in shooting secured 54th position out of 56 athletes participating in the Women’s 10m air rifle, Shreya Dhital who competed in swimming secured 47th position out of 48 athletes participating in the Women’s 100m freestyle, she was also able to set new national record with the timing of 1 minute 10:80 second surpassing her own earlier record 1 minute 10:82 second, Prasidhha Jung Shah who competed in swimming secured 47th position out of 59 athletes participating in the Men’s 50m freestyle, Pramila Rijal who competed in athletics secured 25th position out of 33 athletes participating in the Women’s 100m, Tilak Ram Tharu who competed in athletics secured 13th position out of 32 athletes participating in the Men’s 100m
